Join in our fourth annual celebration of the local, sustainable harvest. Each year we in the urban community gather to share in the bounty and offer appreciation to our rural neighbours who nourish us so well.

This year the Picnic will provide a virtual tour of the culinary regions of Southern Ontario. Join us to taste the terroirs of our foodshed and eat your way through the province.

For each of the past three years, The Picnic at the Brick Works has delighted more than 1,000 guests in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Slow Food Toronto chefs, and Ontario vintners and brewers, stand in solidarity with the farmers who support us all.

The 2010 picnic will be the first Picnic in the transformed Evergreen Brick Works – guests are welcome you to explore this cultural treasure. The food and drink are Slow, so you know that the spotlight will be on local growers, ranchers, fishers and artisans who will be paid fairly for their risk and labour. Gather your friends and family, and prepare for the tastiest day of the year.
